There is a huge difference between gas lift and gas flood, please do some research on the subject.

Here a basic view for you.

Gas flood mean pumping huge volume of CO2 down old wells that re-pressurize the oil field and produce a wave of gas and oil that migrate towards a producing well. You can have enormous gas loss before you see an effect of this method at your producing wells.

Gas left mean injecting gas down a pipe of a producing well to aid the oil at the bottom of the production pipe to be lift to surface, very efficient, simple and relatively low gas volumes unlike gas flood.

My view on ELK remains the same, sorry
