Yes, a spike on a very low total. Often moves higher when the rate of price rise increases. Compare with CXO 11.77% short, NST 1.07% (tripled since mid-october) ,, RMS 2.5%. May actually be a good sign in that more sophisticated investors are moving in and managing risk.
Not really convinced that there is much to read into low-level changes in short positions
