the play here is to create leverage and to spark talks between the relevant ministries.
you can bet they are having talks as we speak to clean up this mess, they clearly were not on the same page , but my word they will now and the minister of env. will no doubt require a big spike in funding to help their projects into the future.
what slice of the eventual 1-2 bn in Gov revenue they get will depend on how well they negotiate.
but lets be clear, they will be negotiating how much of the revenue they get and NOT if there will be any at all or not.
gold will be mined and sold from these deposits.
