I don't know much about mining at all, but the Cigar Lake mining method involves freezing the surrounding earth (including the soil's water content). The freezing process is as massive as it is complex. When I first read about the mining method it sounded, from a layman's perspective, too ambitious. Last time Cigar Lake went to poo the uranium spot price, and hence, uranium stocks went ballistic. If the general market bottoms very soon, the recent Cigar Lake news could be the trigger for massive gains in uranium stocks.
