OK perhaps not today but it will in the next week, unless there's an announcements about an offtake agreement with the Chinese. Then the short term target becomes ~$2.55 .
Short positions are on the decrease as well.
From the 3Aug to the 9th Aug(plunge) total shorts were
~17.5 million. As at the 12Aug total shorts are 14.6 million.
Obviously the big money used last weeks fall to cover.
Nothing to worry about here. Trading ridiculously near its GFC lows.
