Just to give you further context. shorts have increase to 0.4% as at 20/3. That equals approx $1.5m shares. Total volumes traded yesterday was 570k so even though the % of shares shorted is "tiny stuff" it is substantial when compared to the daily trade and that there are only 217k shares on the buy side. right now you could push the share price down 5% with about 200k shares.
over the same time period the share price has fallen from $1.20 to $1.07 (52 week low).
I don't think the short position accounts for all of the SP fall but it is having an impact. to dismiss it is not smart.
