Anthony Bohnenn had been diagnosed with a brain tumour a year ago and fought it bravely - he fell earlier in the week and that caused bleeding from which he did not recover - RIP to someone who had absolute belief in Southdown.

GRR continues to make cash despite the low iron ore price - see their last quarterly - over 40% margin. They have also engaged Deutsch to sell down Southdown, so they probably are thinking they don't want to raise a heap of money and dilute existing shareholders. With the price where it is, after the fall of the past couple of weeks, you couldn't want to raise money anyway - besides they still have over $200m in the bank. Their half year results should be out by the end of the month and provided they maintain the dividend guidelines they adopted last year, you should see a very good yield.

GRR said the slip had happened and no one was hurt and that production targets for the year were maintained - so what's the issue? is this why the share price has dropped 30% in the past 2 weeks?!
