I'm bullish about oil over the near, medium, and long term as it is more of an international commodity than NG. Over the medium to long term I'm bullish on USA NG especially with the idiotic policies being implemented by Elephant Ears and his minions.

All that being said, I'd rather own oil and gas companies outside the USA (Canada, OZ) in the short to medium term (ie, as long as the stench and BO is coming from the White House)....

Who knows what they are going to do with the tax schemes and policies that will hit the sector and the cap and trade (rape) polcies that they are going to try and put into law.

The US Dollar is another negative - somewhat offset by the increase in the US price of oil - but only to the extent that that the trade-off is one for one....

We also have that old problem market risk - ie buy the wrong company and watch it sink.......

If you really like USA NG and think it will soar then the NG ETF, UNG, is interesting...no company risk, but of course you'd miss the multiplier effect with shares....

Finally, I guess it will come down to weather as usual in the USA. A mild to warm summer with no storm will kill the NG market and on the other hand shut downs and BK's....

IMO the storage build will topple the price.
