That's probably a good reason to raise when they did - even if they still believe the options will be in the money over the season.
Not the best way to raise though, telling shareholders shortly beforehand that they wouldn't need to raise (even if I see this sort of thing a fair bit).
You would expect they would be a little more savvy with their media comms.
All will be forgotten when the results come rolling in though, by all but the Dum-Pharkwits.
