The US built the astonishing and highly secret Blackbird in the 1960's.
Decades later, the US pursued a policy of announcing its latest military marvels to discourage enemies, reasoning it would make them less likely to want to face them.
Lately, not so much, despite spending more on military than the rest of the world combined, for all of the 60 years since they developed the Blackbird.
I suspect they probably have some very useful stuff 'out the back' in 2022.
Public boasts by Russia and China about their own modern capabilities, especially 'size' and 'speed' would probably draw a wry smile from those 'in the know' on the other side.
That said, nuclear attacks are a different matter, of course.
