Jadel, you are right in that Peacock, like all other politicians appointed to boards to provide some respctability and a condiut to allow the companies contact to persons in govt. Reason why Brain bourke is so influential.

however, I think Peacock was selected, irrespective of his past directorships etc to get a foot int he door into melbourne establishment. polo ponies and melbourne establishment seem to go together.

Personally, i am very dubious of the appointments of a polictian. but as mentioned by some, the general population seem to get assurances.

Whether he stays or goes makes no difference to MFS problems
