The big 3 US car manufacturers have been accused of halting development of Electric Cars, because it has suited them to continue producing internal combustion engines.
Of course, cars and trucks are the greatest source of CO2 emissions contributing to global warming.
So I sorta think that it's a good thing to be heading towards "peak oil". The US car manufacturers, instead of contributing to world pollution to satisfy their greed, will be forced to change.
