If we are caring through animal husbandry, herds of animals can be sustained in far greater numbers than would naturally occur. Seems productive. If the penalty of burgeoning animal lives means that an essential human need can be met, through consumption, a cruel beast human hunger, then a question arises. Is it better to have more animals experience life by eating meat, or better to regulate diet and because of such that fewer animals will experience life as a result? Quality of life aside (husbandry is a continuum around the world).

To wit, with a stretch, what makes us think our human elites don't base their class set size of useless eaters on population birth rates and ages? Or is that taboo too conspiratorial?
