this land really really needs a major international mining house to get involved with the resurrection of this mine in partnership with its people.
with modern thinking and mining techniques the land issues could be made good as the mining was sympathetically restarted and on going.
and when we are all gone, the youth and future generations of this island paradise will look back with pride and say that was the beginning of the birth of this tiny island nation that is now known as the pearl of the pacific.
and just as importantly those lives lost, will not have been in vain. perhaps a memorial to those brave men and woman could be built to honour them at the mine site made of copper or bronze from the mine.
