Historical recoveries and concentrate was 60%.
Alastair believes this will be much higher with modern technology.
I believe they will use gravitational tables and water to separate the monazite. A clean and environmentally friendly method.
I think i saw HAS, have recoveries under 30% and with chemicals/leaching/acid they produce a concentrate of 59%. Not very environmentally friendly!!
The quality of the monazite carbonatite at Kangankunde is excellent.
That 1 tonne sample is being prepared to be sent to Australia for metallurgical works. We will hear the results in a few months!!
