Forcing prices down of the best plays in the early days is almost SOP. Just look at the gas plays in the Perth basin - prices halved or more by BOTS nons top for months on end then all of a sudden all the billionaires are fighting over them at triple the price at once....
It is getting to the point where you know you have a great investment when the price gets forced down in this fashion. But you do have to wait them out.
