Some interesting dynamics in the medium term future that I see, they've been discussed at some length. I'll try to find a reference for you. Just in terms of electric vehicles...

1) Not enough supply could limit forward planning of takeup. i.e. if the battery makers can't get it, they can't plan to build their product.
2) Not enough product being made could limit the global takeup of EV.
3) The tired old one about demand substitution, some applications may be suitable for substitution of different materials. Battery makers would be more incentivised to accelerate any alternatives they can see, IF they exist.

But these are sector-wide, and the happy clappers of CLQ would be well minded to take this into account as well.
