"SQM invested in KZR and that was a failure"

Wrong mates. SQM did not invest $1 in KZR. That points has been covered in the forums

That was a petty earn in deals that goes along the lines of this [SQM to spend X dollars on exploration within 3 years and they will earn X amount of the projects. If they spend more than X amounts then they will earn more than X amounts interest].

What does this translate to? Easy mates. It means [free exploration for the micro caps, the big boy will fund the exploration. If the big boy finds anything then the majority of the company becomes theres. simples]. This is for projects that dont have much potentials and those projects are not worth anythings and they dont have any money. Its the same with oil and gases. There are many oil and gas farm in or JV with Santos or other big players for pennies on the dollar for small oilers that fail. Its just for fun and doesnt mean anything. Really the big players can explore the land for free and if they find anything its theres.

Did you see the new farm in deals today? LTR farm in to OLY [5 million market caps micro caps]. It is exactly the classic example i explained above
    https://hotcopper.com.au/threads/ann-olympio-signs-farm-in-agreement-with-liontown.7314070/

Liontown to complete 1,100 soil samples across the Projects before
    progressing to Stage 1 earn-in
    • Two-stage farm-in arrangement with Stage 1 to take Liontown to 51%
    interest within 1 year
    • At that stage, Olympio can request to end the farm-in and to form a joint
venture (JV), with Liontown funding 51% and Olympio 49%
    • If Olympio elects to continue the farm-in, Liontown can earn a further 39%
within three years in Stage 2

AZS SQM deal is nothing like this. It is not farm in or JV. SQM invested 20 million dollars cash into the company for 20 percent of the registries. They are now the cornerstone substantial investor of AZS. They also paid premium to the share price

It is very easy to be confused about the deals thinking they are all the sames. Nopes mates. Not at all thats for sure.
