Interesting news from EsternStar Gas yesterday regarding the "Edgeroi-1" corehole, which intersected 23.5 metres of "thick, fractured coals with high gas contents".
Quote from David Casey, MD: "[...]Furthermore, the Edgeroi-1 results auger well for ESG's farmin to PEL 427, located to the north of the Narrabi CSG project into which it is anticipated the coals intersected at Edgeroi-1 may extend".
Sounds very encouraging - ESG will drill a corehole in PEL 427 (and in PEL 428) later this year or early 2009 to fulfil their farmin liabilities.
