You misunderstand my point but you also made an intersting one yourself.

Are you saying the samples were never provided to those who did the analysis and they were 'told' by LNC what the values were? (sounds illegal to me haha).

Furthermore, Peter bond specifically said that ofcourse the resource calcualted and reported worth 20 trillion is rediculous, he expected it to be fraction of that (200-300b barrels) which he estimated based on advice from them that there is still a major find in the realm of billion barrels + range.

To me, that is still a news worthy (and spike worthy) event. even for nearology.

If NVG ends up exploring this and getting an even better result than LNC (due to maturity of the field) then good on em. I'll probably buy EDE for nearology then.
