i worry for anyone who wants double taxation which is what the removal of franking credits will do. I will support the franking removal when I see governments and government departments / services run efficiently, which they are so far from I think it should be safe for some decades yet.

If it does happen, I hope companies will just pay unfranked dividends which are then declared personally etc. If they also remove trust investments, what incentive is there to start a business given the limited ways to protect oneself that also happen to have some minor potential advantages? Given the risks, I think it is a fair trade?

As someone that started with bugger all money and a young family, I took a perceived major risk to start a business that just happened to pay off. I see both sides but there needs to be a means for inspiration and dreams. Remove those pathways and future businesses like Grange may not eventuate.
