Most businesses and individuals alike expect some discount when making a large purchase.
Perhaps if another buyer came in offering to take the lot then they would also expect a discount.
I think it has more to do with bulk purchasing power than sharehilder influence.
Shagang have been buying at Metal Bulletin price for 10 years (which I think we were all obluvious to).
Now its time to renew the deal for another 10 years . . . this time at an increased price (between Metall Bulletin and Iodex) which is to the benefit of all shareholders as the extra cash coming in from the increased sales price will increase FCF and inturn increase the dividend.
Its a sweet deal for us.
