the evidence trail is concise, damning and brutal - nearly everyone saw it for themsleves on trump;s twit feed/tv/youtube
so it would be a very fast event in the house given and likely quite fast in the senate to get the 51 votes required to disallow him from ever holding public office again
unlikely theyd get to the 67 votes to remove from office though - too many deeply compromised GOP senators
but neutered would suffice i would think
its not going to be a straight political calculation. this kind of event - people who take their oaths seriously prosecute regardless of calculus
sometimes you just have to do what your oath demands and hope the reaction function is bearable
