You'd be doing well to see a caterpillar hatch (undergo the process of metamorphosis) into a fly.
Maggots (fly larvae) do that.
Caterpillars become moths or butterflies. Both are certainly (family) Lepidoptera.
I'm not picking on you (because I respect you've got a very proportion of good ideas to TU's).
It's just that on HC in and Australia in general basic science seems to go out the window. I'm sensitised by the Greens.
