Jim,
If you take the second trading day of the year (Jan 5) we closed at 4.5 cents. Today we closed at 4.4 cents, a decline of 2.2%
So by shifting the goal posts by one day either side of your original calculation, instead of being up by 7% we are down by 2.2%.
