You don't read the detail carefully enough phish. Below is the CAPEX table taken from the Low pH Processing Feasibility Study.


So, now the facts are on the table, let's do the maths.

Historic spend - US$173M (from annual report)
Future spend - US$461M
Total spend - US$634M

The above spend for a 3M lb/a plant = US$210 per annual pound. That's off the charts mate. Typical CAPEX spend for PEN peers would be in the region of US$100 per annual pound (some higher, some lower). I don't have the numbers to hand but I'm happy with that estimate - the info is out there, look it up.

On this metric, PEN compares woefully.
