It appears that you like many other posters in the past are confusing ISL mining with ISR mining methods. There will always be some polluting aspects with all types of mining. My research (limited as it is) indicates that ISR mining has a low environmental impact using bicorbonates to stip U and not an acid leach as you suggest.
Plenty of comparative research can been found on this site provided by some some informative and intelligent posters who have been following PEN since conception.
