I am a local and can see a lot of advantages in a power station using the coal and gas resources at Mt Mulligan; and that is the very reason that I bought in a few years ago and have continued to reinvest. It is in a flood free area, the local ecomomy (Mareeba Dimbulah) would welcome (needs) a boost and there would be little if any opposition, the coal field is not valuable agricultural land, input point to the electricity grid is not far, it is inland and away from cyclones.
