Q: Is it beyond consideration that the Gillard Government could come out and truly do something that would show it different that the Abbott alternative. Sure my motive here is as a shareholder, but HST is making headline news - due to the fact that around 2000 people are going to loose their jobs. This joined with the WA overseas immigrant issue - bring a concerning topic for the government ie: loosing workers in the east, but bring in foreign workers in the west. It might be a huge political hot potatoe! I have never had confidence in this government, and sure, HST is not their problem to fix, but I would certainly have respect if the Gillard government could find some money & courage to help these workers (and shareholders). Heck, the government has thrown a hell of a lot more money around on less important issues.
