Valid point about the export and counterfeits. But since most people in developed countries buy their wine from reputable providers - I don't think it would make much of a difference.
I’m starting to put TWE in the ‘too hard basket’. I bought at the lows thinking holding solid brands with people wanting to drink their sorrows away during an inflationary period would be good and it has so far. But I dunno if further investment in China is the answer. Seems like the sunk cost fallacy to me. If it’s empty posturing by TWE then maybe that’s good.
Will probably wait until the next trading update but am leaning towards selling then.
