You want to see what communism is like try to revisit the times say 5 decades ago when people were starving in China, killing each other in the cultural revolution, helping neighbours fight their wars against the Americans when they couldn't even feed themselves properly. You can also revisit Cambodia under Pol Pot, Stalin etc. I will view China currently as a draconian capitalism not controlled by the elites like America but by the President. Accordingly if we can trust his 'Common Prosperity' then it sounds like a more equitable distribution of wealth and opportunities to control any monopolistic industries. US business entrepreneurs became too powerful and you can see their power from FB who can literally silence anyone including Presidents virtually from their opinions in this age of internet. Which one is more effective for their national agenda and interests? It will depend if you prefer the US method of zero sum game or a China's win-win relationship. I personally am tired of conflict, right through the history of the internet big tech growth opening up the oyster of what tech can do to improve our lives, we spent all that time fighting Terrorism and came away back to the reasons why we invaded Kabul in the first place.

" revisit the times say 5 decades ago when people were starving in China" Jeez do you think that might have had something to with being sucked dry by the previous 100 years of occupation ? And the resulting previous decades of war to drive them out ? Plenty of starvation in every country at one time or another.
