There is not only a precedent for drilling in Natura, but not all "greenies" have blickers on to the bigger world picture of climate catastrophe.
I agree hiking groups would prefer a mine not to exist; but look at the extensive size of the Natura area. Their recreation can continue without any distraction whatsoever.
IMO economics and world climate pressures will prevail, albeit also with tight local environmental monitoring.
