This Labor Government with only 38% of the primary vote intends to penalise us with this carbon tax as the cost of getting much needed support from the Greens in order to be able to govern.

This Labor Government is hostage to Bob Brown and his Greens, who live in La La Land. They are trying to impose their ideology on all Australians, no matter how impractical, no matter how many jobs it destroys, no matter how uncompetitive it makes this nation.

The Greens would cheer if our entire mining industry shut down, because our nation would then become "greener." The Greens, are a radical left of left of left wing Party that many voters thought was a "safe" option and a "safe" alternative to voting for Labor or the Coalition at the last election.

Well now they are finding that a vote for the Greens was anything but a "safe" option. It was an extremely risky and dangerous option.

It is putting the jobs of tens of thousands of ordinary Australians at risk for an ideology. It is putting the international competitiveneness of this nation at risk for an ideology.

It is threatening to destroy the standard of living of ordinary Australians who don't lose their employment directly as a result of Greens' policy. The Greens offer us soaring energy costs, soaring petrol costs and the flow on of soaring food costs.
