On Q&A last night, Penny Wong was explaining why the Green's policy of paying for everything via a mining tax just doesn't add up i.e mining is a cyclical industry and hence any govt revenue couldn't be relied upon to pay for recurrent spending measures.
Now what recurrent spending did the ALP tie to their mining tax?
