Shorters don't hope for the price to drop
They borrow shares and sell them for less and less forcing the price
Down
They them accumulate at a low price buying there own shares
They the start buying back of borrowed shares forcing the price up
Usually on good news
When the price has peaked they then sell their accumulated shares
Before the cycle starts again
LNC is a good example
The price was forced down from $3 to 55 cents
Some good news came and the price was let loose
Up to $3 now the shorting has started again
The SP is about $1.60
IVA on the other hand has so few retail shares takes very little
To force the price either way
Current value of the shares are about right
As gold and copper are at bottom prices
The question is how long can IVA last before either the AUD to drop
To 80 cents or for copper to rebound
At current condition the company is doomed
The cash burn is huge at the moment
Hard to know what to do
I have averaged down a bit
I would love to be confident enough to go all in at 13.5 cents
IVA will be back to $1 one day if it can stay afloat until conditions
