I always get amused by the statement that "we are living longer".
Yes, maybe in average terms we are, but there is no denying the longer we force people to work before being eligible for the pension, the more cases we will see of people working right through their golden years and either die when they are still in the workforce, or are invalided out.
A lot more cases of dementia setting in while people are still working too, and that's sad.
