there is probably an easier way of curbing government spending. 1. Stop paying a fortune to outside contractors to undertake jobs that should be undertaken by the various departments themselves. 2. No "civil servants" salary to exceed the average wage by more than 2 (two) times. 3. Stop funding all these commission of enquiries and committees to investigate issues. (there was a time when things got done, not talked about for eons). 4. Salaries in point 1 refers to any government sponsored or funded institution. 5. Stop paying for unnecessary advertising. 6. Stop paying for studies such as this one. .... .... That would probably be such a saving that taxes could be lowered.
