There have always been restrictons on when you could access Super because it is for your retirement so I expect a Government would put restrictions on it. It seems at present people who have a 100,000 or more retire and take it all and spend it then go on the pension. I am sure it is fun while it lasts and I do not begrudge those who do it but the money is not intended for that purpose.
I am living on my Super that I accumulated through good investments and I intended all along to not look for a pension, I support myself.
By the way, pensions came in in 1909, my Great Grandfather was amongst the first. He was working up to well into his 70s, as a Journalist and private investigator. The pension had nothing to do with wars.
