I have not seen any news that states that the 70 will be reached by extending the age in steps as presently occurs . i.e. they are quite capable of saying as of now no one gets the pension until they are 70. They are claiming they need to extend the pension age because of a percieved budget crisis if they dont do it in a way that has a immediate effect their is no crisis as a crisis needs immediate responses.
eterazer they will push back most peoples entitlement age to the pension regardless If you chose to take your super early and you have say the equivalent of five years of your income in super you may have to start using it at 65 instead of 60
