Interesting. I personally drive very little so owned only 3 cars in my life. These days small cars are cheaper than ever and have all the bells and whistles. My third and final car is a Toyota Yaris bought 18 months ago and now with tiny mileage on clock. Financially should have brought second hand but I wanted brand new. Very happy with it, with 3 year servicing capped at $150.
I used to be an Economics teacher and taught teenagers that the asset which never appreciates is a car. Yet it was exactly what they wanted to buy first, then take an overseas trip, then get married. Teenage girls bucket list in that order.....lol
