    Wow I have to agree with some here. Extremely poorly thought out comment.

    It has only been in the last 10 years or so that banks and superfunds have started providing the correct type of service to help their customers put away more money into Super and retirement. Prior to that you had to go looking for good options yourself and without any financial knowledge you were up against it. This is why so many older people had multiple Super funds which were basically killing them with fee's and charges because consolidating super just wasn't a done thing years ago. You just left it there and it was supposed to be making money

    Not many older people were able to afford financial planners and advisors prior to financial services being improved either.
