Perhaps what was said was with more ppl retiring, there are fewer working and therefore there will be a growing deficit in years to come?
If so, then nothing has really changed - sustained growth, no further GFC's and a (somewhat) restrained budget could help but barring ideal conditions, we are no better off than a number of countries in this respect...
