It is so very easy Eagle, to blame the wrong people. Just a little reminder might help. Infrastructure is the PRIME responsibilty of STATE governments NOT the Feds. So you need to amend this erroneus statement 'the infrastructure and skills needs of the nation were clearly neglected and now in a more competitive global environment we are going to suffer because of Peters and Johns neglect', should read 'the State Labor Governments gross neglect.'
So what did the States do with all the largesse from the GST and Stamp Duty and, in the case of WA and Quuensland, all the revenue flowing from the mining royalties. (In fairness to WA it did build two desalination plants).
