look again at the pic of the Pentagon collapse. you can see the very thick steel reinforcement used in the walls and note how one side remained connected.

do any of the buildings in Karachi have such steel reinforcing? they are scattered buildings often of very old construction.

so of course there'll be a very different result in Karachi to the Pentagon.
