"people of all backgrounds should be adequately represented in government and allowed to stand as to represent their people". ...... really enabled by political parties that can be 'infiltrated' or branch stacked to dominate a local branch membership.

this was attempted by Morrison's church, before the last election, and I doubt that once commenced that it'll be stopped anytime soon. once a political movement is started with such a goal it becomes hard to stop..... unless the party introduces strict membership controls - and this is very unlikely.
