I realise we all invest based upon different criteria, and we also interpret information differently, but I struggle to understand how a 50% increase in production at Ferreira, a 53% increase in thermal coal sales (@$121.25/tonne average), and a 91% increase in domestic sales from Vlakvarkfontein could possibly be seen as "it's generally just talk".
Increased production and sales is not 'just talk'. Mining and oil companies are in the business of selling their product, be it oil, iron ore, copper, gold, or in the case of CCC coal. They produced and sold more coal and yet somehow that's 'just talk'?
If my child comes home and tells me they got 95% on a test my first response is to congratulate them and not demand to know why they lost 5%.
Yes, there's still hurdles to get over (Penumbra, and Botswana, and De Wittekrans, etc), but crikey, if we cannot acknowledge good news when it comes along then something is very wrong.
