What is wrong with a bit of borrowed money?
Consider it a margin loan or business finance.

It allows us to grow our busines faster. And we are good for the repayements, the investors are rushing in to lend us more. We do not have subprime crisis, we have the best interest rates on offer.

If it was money spend on useless consumption I would be woried, but the debt is held by private companies who use the money to grow their businesses, buy equipment or build new mines.

The debt is only bad if you are not makin profit on it, and we seem to be powering ahead economicaly. If we had to wait until we saved the money to develop we would be going much slower.

Just about everybody borrows money to buy a house and usually it is a good think for them if they have done their homework. If we had to pay cash for our houses, we would be all renting.
