Could you have imagined the response in the media and the publicif just 5 years ago the PM suggesting that nuclear power was a viable alternative to solving our energy needs?

Now - rational debate in the media, all cards are on the table, time to get serious about climate change etc etc.

The general population may have not come around to the idea of nuclear power in Australia (and let's face it - who is going to want a nuclear reactor in their neighbourhood) but there has been a huge shift in thinking out there and as the reality of rising temperatures begins to hit home I think we will have no choice but to embrace this technology - at least until something better comes along. Which I hope it does.
