2. PEP11 is next to the bidirectional Syd - Newc Gas pipeline which connects to the east coast gas market including Colongra Gas fired power stations with provisions to be connected to Kurri Kurri Gas Fired Power station.

This pipeline also feeds domestic gas market and Tomago aluminium which is Australia's largest power consumer while also feeding heavy industries such as Orica Ammonia Nitrate Plant Kooragang, Quenos Pt Botany etc. PEP11 will help secure jobs and bring dispatchable power stability.

3. The extension is to skip 3D seismic testing and proceed to drill on 2D seismic testing only. This has previously been approved in other permits by NOPTA with HESS Corporation in offshore WA.
