Awesome idea, the sooner the better too!

If you go back through the media reports covering the protestors side, there was a huge amount of misinformation coming from them.

Statements being pushed as facts, such as;

An 'Oil" Rig just off the beach! (pretty sure the human eye would have trouble identifying a rig at 30km!)




Claims about the environmental disaster it would cause? I remember reading comments from someone smarter than I, but apparently rigs have and can actually help foster marine ecosystems thrive?

This excerpt is from the save our coast website;

This flawed plan risks devastating our coastal ecosystem, the whale migration route and the rich biodiversity off the coast, our climate, our livelihoods and our way of life, to DRILL for fossil fuels that we do not need that will only accelerate our path towards climate damage.

Gas is a dirty fossil fuel which causes 84 times more climate damage than carbon dioxide and 2/3 of our gas is exported – in 2019 Australia was the largest exporter of gas in the world.

Gas has recently been re-classified as a "Clean" Fuel in Europe!

I know it's not Scomo related information, I think Justadabble will be the man for that, and I think he said he was collating a timeline of Scomo comments as well, but you'll have to ask him for that.
